Seminario/Intercambio I 

In February, I began organizing a group of artists, art educators and educational researchers to travel to Cuba during the Havana Biennial November 17-22, 2000. I have been involved with the Asociación de Pedagogos Cubanos and regularly attend their conferences. Colleagues from both the U.S. and Cuba expressed support and interest in an exchange that would include the emerging cultural dynamic in the context of learning systems. The goal is to initiate what I hope will be a conference every two years to coincide with the Biennial to take advantage of the many activities related to art and culture that converge from all over the Latin America. The Wifredo Lam Art Center has offered to host studio visits, panel discussions and informal meetings related to the theme, Visual/Human Interface in the Web.
